Faithfulness in the Face of Fear

The world is a different place than it was even a week ago, with rules and protocols changing sometimes by the hour.. The Coronavirus (or COVID-19) has transformed the social and psychological landscape of our culture, changing our patterns of behaviour, reorganizing our priorities, and introducing new phrases into our collective vocabulary: social distancing, flattening the curve, and community spread. But how do we live in a state of emergency without giving into a state of fear? How do we not let this global pandemic leave us in the grip of panic? And what does it look like to remain faithful to God and responsible to each other, when the overwhelming temptation is to hoard toilet paper?
